A brand new week on the DJ Sbu Breakfast got off to a brilliant start with the celebration of Beyoncé’s birthday to top it all off.
We kicked off our new hour of content today, our Motivational hour between 5 and 6 where we uplift your spirits and change your thinking around Mondays and all other days.
Motshidisi kicked it off with her selection of motivational quotes, bible verses and her word of the day ‘kindness’.
She spoke of being kind to yourself and also showing kindness to everyone that we come across because we never know who might be in need of some.
We then took about half an hour to celebrate the current greatest performer of our time, in my opinion, BEYONCÉ.
All the ladies of DJ Sbu Breakfast got down to the Beyoncé quadruple play and put on one helluva show for our digital platforms in celebration of Bey’s birthday.
We’ve also started playing a mix to open each hour – it’s called the Yonk’into mix because we’re literally going to play you everything from Maskhandi to Hip Hop and in between.
After 8, we had Victor Kgomoeswana in studio to speak about what has been happening in the rest of the African continent including the annulment of the Kenyan elections.
