The Vow show understands and brings to you topics that not only inspire but transform lives every single Monday and today is no different. Happiness and joy is the discussion today.
We started the show as always with Teddy Pendergrass-Wake Up and we continued to not worry with Bobby Macfarin-Don’t Worry, Be Happy.
Mama T shared with us, 101 of the most inspiring, touching and helpful thoughts from the past on happiness. “If you want happiness foe an hour-Take a Nap, if you want happiness for a day- Go Fishing. If you want happiness for a year- Inherit a Fortune, if you want happiness for a lifetime – Help Someone Else.’’
She continues to teach us that happiness is an internal job, its starts with like Michael Jackson says “Starts with the man in the mirror”. There is only one cause of unhappiness: the false beliefs you have in your head, beliefs sop widespread, so commonly held, that it never occurs to you to question them.”
Mama T also shared with us a quote “When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.” By Helen Keller.
“The secret of happiness is not in doing what one likes, but in liking what one does.” By James M.Barrie.
We listened to Katrina and the Waves- Walking on Sunshine, Best Day Of My Life –American Authors and What A Wonderful World It Would Be- Sam Cooke on our segment The Art Of Wisdom
We also have Voxies from our audience who shares with us their words of wisdom and in all they agreed with Mama T that happiness comes from within.
Our So What moment we learn that when we are content inside it spreads to others and make our world much more happy, and our What Now moment Mama T says “Look at your relationship with the creator and understand what is needed to help the world out of the Darkness.”
She closed the show to say “I want you to Feel Happy –For it is an inside Job.” We continued to play Pharrel- Happy, I can see clearly now- Jimmy Cliff and I can’t stop the feeling- Justin Timberlake. Tune in Next week as Mama T will be discussing Radical Economic Transformation.
