Glamour Women Of The Year Awards 2018

Class, power and, of course, GLAMOUR were the order of the day for the 2018 edition of GLAMOUR magazine’s Women of The Year Awards.

Held at the Mall of Africa in Waterfall City, in partnership with L’Oréal Paris and Mall of Africa  and E! entertainment and Loreal, the event hosted 300 beautiful and strong women who have made their unique mark on their respective industries.

The awards were hosted by the magazine’s recently appointed Editor-in-Chief, Asanda Sizani and celebrity blogger and host of E! Entertainment’s How Do I Look? South Africa.

In line with GLAMOUR’s recent successful revamping, this year’s awards, specifically the awards, were revamped.

Sizani described the Women of the Year, and the brand’s viewpoint on women in modern society by saying “they are change-makers, trailblazers and inspirational. This is a pivotal time for women’s voices, and GLAMOUR not only believes in the collective force of women, but encourages solidarity and active contribution of diverse women in today’s society.”

The winners of the evening walked away with the nod, bragging rights as well as a number of luxurious gifts.

Winners for the evening were as follows:

Dr Sindi van Zyl in the Health category, Thabile Ngwato in the Media & Advertising category; Shekhinah in the Music category, Candice Lawrence in the Art & Design category; Farah Fortune in the Business category, Thokozani Ndaba in the Activism & Goodwill category, Kefilwe Mabote in the Social Media Influencer category; Kgothatso Montjane in the Sports category; Connie Ferguson in the TV & Film category sponsored by E! and finally, renowned broadcaster Doreen Morris walked was recognised in the Icon category sponsored by L’Oréal Paris.

The evening was full of networking, drinks, fun and music courtesy of singer and songwriter Zoë Modiga and Princess The DJ.

All in all a fantastic evening filled with power, strength, confidence, love and support amongst women.
